FAIRPARK INFORMATION

WHAT IS THE FAIRPARK LINEUP?

This year's Fairpark lineup includes Memphis Jones, Spunk Monkees, Bishop Gunn and Muscadine Bloodline.

What is Fairpark?

Fairpark is our beloved downtown park. It’s historically known as the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy show and is where Elvis competed in WELO’s talent show when he was a young boy. In September 1956, he returned to that location and performed his 1956 Homecoming Concert. Today, Fairpark is used for many different events and concerts, complete with a children's playground, a splash pad, outdoor picnic areas and statues commemorating Tupelo history.

WHAT IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF THE CONCERTS?

Several concerts will occur in Fairpark during Tupelo Elvis Festival. On Thursday, June 7, Fairpark will host a 1956 Reenactment Concert, followed by various other Elvis concerts. If it is raining on that day, those events will be moved inside the BancorpSouth Arena. On Friday, June 8, Fairpark will host a series of non-Elvis music artists. There is no rain plan for Friday night's concerts. Unless there are dangerous conditions, those concerts will continue to be held outside in Fairpark, or will be cancelled.
