FAIRPARK INFORMATION

When is the Fairpark lineup being announced?

The lineup for Fairpark entertainment will be announced this Spring.

What is Fairpark?

Fairpark is our beloved downtown park. It’s historically known as the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy show and is very important to Elvis’ history. He competed in WELO’s talent show on the Fairgrounds when he was a young boy. In September 1956, he returned to Tupelo and performed at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show, affectionately known as his Homecoming Concert. We will be recreating his Homecoming Concert this year on Thursday night, June 7th.

WHAT IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF THE CONCERTS?

Several concerts will occur in Fairpark during Tupelo Elvis Festival. On Thursday, June 7, Fairpark will host a 1956 Reenactment Concert, followed by various other Elvis concerts. If it is raining on that day, those events will be moved inside the BancorpSouth Arena. On Friday, June 8, Fairpark will host a series of non-Elvis music artists. There is no rain plan for Friday night's concerts. Unless there are dangerous conditions, those concerts will continue to be held outside in Fairpark, or will be cancelled.
